From Within The Belly Of The Beast

Today's post comes to you straight from tech on the Addams Family wireless network.  The Hilton only has ethernet cables, which tethers me to an uncomfortable little desk in the corner of the room.  Here I am free to post anywhere at all - even on stage.  I don't think Doug Sills would mind if I sat typing away during his eleven o'clock number... after all, he did buy me dinner tonight:

Shrimp and grits with bell peppers in a sweet chili sauce?  Check.  I followed this with a fried oyster taco and one of those doughnut bananas foster crazies from yesterday.  I figure I deserve it for all the sitting and doing nothing of value I've been up to this week.

Have I mentioned that we have Death Eaters in our show?

Yes, we have Death Eaters.  Some people refer to them as puppeteering velvets, but they're clearly Death Eater robes.  See how they shiftily lean in corridors, waiting to pounce on unsuspecting Muggles?

Don't even think about trying to outsmart them.  The Death Eaters are trained in the art of camouflage:

 

I know Death Eaters have committed many unforgivable crimes in their time on this earth, but try not to judge them too harshly.  After all, they make moments like this possible:

I hope you haven't forgotten about Gil.  He's been keeping busy stealing the hearts of all the Addams ladies.  This is no easy feat:  See how beautiful and unavailable they are?

With only the whisper of love and marriage, this silver-tongued devil weasels his way into the hearts (and clothes) of some of the most coveted women on the tour circuit today.  See here Bessie Mae Addams, finest dancer in the old west, wearing a "diamond ring" from our prince of the hour:

How could she think he'd be true?  Moments later Gil is found the the arms of none other than Amber Addams, the flight attendant made famous for her daring demonstration of the horrors of unbuckled safety belts and poorly timed cellphone usages aboard Flight 762:

Still, underneath that chest plate of steel beats the heart of a lost romantic.  Gil is tortured by memories of his former love, Ivy Marie, who opted for a life of stability back in the suburbs of a distant city.  He can often be found alone in the Addams family gardens, swinging and sighing to relieve his aching heart.

 Don't worry.  The nights are long, but the days are longer.  With the distractions of tour and the excitement of a life on the road, Gil will surely find his way back to happiness.  Until that day, please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
