Hello, friends.
Google informs me that I've used up the full amount of photo storage for my little writing adventure, so I'm going to have to continue talking to myself with a new blog account:
RETURN OF THE FIRST NATIONAL SWING

NEWSIES!
Now, I didn't forget to post this - I simply thought it needed its own entry.
Since November in Toronto, Jonathan and I had been working on a little project. We re-wrote some lyrics and recorded some voices, and in the end what we made was a viral video that has reached over 19,000 views to date.
Its called "Bein' Part Of Newsies," and it is our love-letter to the little musical that could. That movie that we cult fans have loved since it first came out as a box office flop. The Addams Family loves Newsies, and we couldn't be happier that you love us back!
Here is the original video:
And here is the mobile version, if you're reading/watching from an iPad or Smartphone of any kind:
Georgia On My Mind
"Georgia, Georgia... the whole day through. Just an old sweet song keeps Georgia on my mind."
Guys, Atlanta was pretty awesome. I wish I'd gotten to see ANY of it. We were in rehearsal almost every day of our final week due to the fact that we're getting a whole mess of new cast members. (They're wonderful and worth it, by the way.)
Robbie, my dear friend who let me stay with his parents in San Diego, suggested that we room together at the Georgian Terrace hotel directly across the street from the Fox Theatre. Boy, was he right. We each had our own room, a full kitchen, and cushy digs:
The view:
Love these couches in the lobby:
The view down from my hotel window was a little scary. I don't care for heights:

Remember that crazy bra I bought in Kansas City? If you don't remember, here's a picture:
Well, I may or may not have ordered another one. IT WAS ON SALE, don't judge me. Look how gorgeous!!
I wish it was here so I could wear it right noooooooooooow!

The Fox theatre in Atlanta is just a gorgeous as the one in St. Louis. It feels like you're sitting underneath a blue, night sky:
Somewhere in Agrabah:
For our final put-in, the newbies provided a plethora of snacks and goodies to keep our spirits high:
I spent the rehearsal snacking and taking more pictures of the theatre. Ah, swing life:
We also celebrated Bryant's birthday that night! The s'more's cake from Crumbs NYC deflated in the mail, but it still tasted fantastic:
Look at that birthday boy :)
Down in the stage management office, Jonathan and Alex celebrated their final night of taking notes:
And showed us how they really feel:
We also celebrated Murray's birthday! Our newest Pugsley - the youngest and most football-loving of them all:
Speaking of Pugsley, Ethan had almost 300 people come see him in his home town of Atlanta! Look at that crowd!

Our final day of touring (for now) was bittersweet:
Along with a number of cast and crew, we lost our Musical Director, Val:
Karla, Ted, Pilar, and Alex wrote notes that made me cry:
And Dougie shaved his moustache:
One final mole painting for my dear friend Sam:
Gonna miss this one:
And one final Champagne Sunday with the ladies of the original Addams Family:
Posing with Peanut and holding back tears:
I am going to miss Teddles so much, it hurts:
My darling Val:
Elie came down to bid farewell to our departing company members:
A champagne toast with the company:
Love candids:
Farewell, my friends! May the road lead you to prosperity, love, and joy. May your next job make you as happy as this one has made me, and I hope we work together again soon.
And hey, why not leave our mark? Done and done.
See you in September, Family. See you in Dallas.
