An hour ago I got a text from a dear friend announcing that he had just gotten engaged. My response (after the initial crying and rejoicing) was "Good. Now go make out on the beach like teenagers."
Is there something in the air? This is the second engagement announcement I've gotten this month, not to mention the two wedding parties I've agreed to and the numerous other weddings I've seen plastered all over Facebook. I remember a friend telling me that I would hit an age where suddenly everyone would be getting married and having babies - apparently the late-20's early-30's is the time zone.
I'm thrilled for my friends, but my goodness! Its like a block party on future street.
